Antique “Cherry Heat” Dovetail Wooden Boxes Set of Three (3) We have just 2 lots of these antique wooden boxes, Circa late 1910s with sliding lids and dovetail joints on 4 corners. These boxes are excellent for displays and the like, or for risers to accent your merchandise. The “Cherry Heat” brand of welding flux was produced by the Cortland Compound Co. of Cortland, NY. Established in the late 1800s, their factory building from 1910 still stands today. Flux is a compound used for brazing, welding and blacksmithing. This box once held 5 pounds of this flux. Purchased at the Brimfield Antiques Show years ago and used for display in our showrooms. All of the boxes have nominal wear and tear, small stains, color differences, nicks or other imperfections to be expected from their age. One box is missing the lid. The bottom of each box was nailed by hand with finishing nails. Dimensions are 4.5"wide x 6 7/8"long x 3.75" high. Sold As Is (3 boxes in a set): $44.00
